The 2010 AVN awards in Las Vegas gave the hard working members of the adult entertainment community the opportunity to blow off a bit of steam after a busy and draining year of creating groundbreaking content for the world, and several Galaxy clients came home with well-earned awards in hand.

Thomas Ward won the AVN award for Best Non-Sex Performance for his uncanny role as Bill Cosby in X-Play/LFP’s “Not the Cosbys XXX.” His pitch-perfect performance helped tie the film as winner in Best Parody category.

Director Jeff Mullen also got some much-deserved recognition at the awards. Along with the Cosby win, he was awarded Director of the Year (Body of Work) for his shiny blockbuster parodies, and his big-budget original work “Flight Attendants,” which took home Best Comedy. His company X-Play also got the nod with a win in the Best On-Line Marketing Campaign – Company Image category.

Galaxy would also like to congratulate a trio of blonde bombshells who have contributed to the industry this year, Kagney Linn Karter for winning Best New Starlet, Shawna Lenee for Unsung Starlet of the Year, and Kimber James for TS Performer of the year. Also, Sasha Grey won Best Oral and Crossover Performer of the Year for her groundbreaking foray into art films like “The Girlfriend Experience.”

Overall, the 2010 AVN/AEE expo was a great success and gave a reason for lots of great parties after a long, hard year in porn.

One of the adult industry’s most prolific and celebrated directors, Alexander DeVoe, is celebrating his 18 nominations this weekend in Vegas with a very special party Friday January 8^th, at The Palm Hotel and Casino.
